History of Daytons and the wire wheel

Dayton Wire Wheels are well known for their appeal
with classic and foreign car owners. 

Dayton Wire Wheels have been around since the early 1900's! Their history is actually very rich, having provided wheels several iconic figures in American History. But these wheels weren't the 13's you see riding around on a Diald in custom lowrider. These wheels were used by the wright brothers, Henry Ford, and Charles Lindburgh before they ever hit a lowrider!

Most people might know wire wheels as "Dayton's" which are HUGE in the custom car scene especially in lowrider and car hop shops. Wire wheels have been around since the 1800's, well before Dayton Wire Wheels was founded out of  Dayton, OH. Dayton's are actually a wire wheel brand with a very rich history, and the most common manufacturer.

Dayton Wire Wheels is still around and running strong today. Creating a combination of classic, racing, and stylish spoke wheels. The company's name is and brand is very popular with the custom car scene, especially on the west coast and in LA. Riding on Dayton's is a right of passage in come communities, any other wheel isn't an option!
